Smart Import: turn a shared find into an idea you can actually use
You share the find. Swiva handles the tedious typing. You still decide whether the draft is actually right.
What does Smart Import do?
Smart Import takes a link, shared text or a supported screenshot and prepares an activity. Depending on the source, the draft can include a title, description and the original link.
The import does not save anything to your list without review. You see the draft first and can edit it, choose a list or discard it entirely.
How a Smart Import works
The source may change, but the flow stays the same.

Share instead of copying
Open the share menu in Instagram, TikTok, Google Maps, your browser or another app and choose Swiva.
- Step 2
Let Swiva read the content
Swiva uses the shared content and publicly available preview information to create a structured suggestion.
- Step 3
Edit the draft
Check names, descriptions, locations and time-sensitive details. Add the context that matters only to you or your group.
- Step 4
Save or discard
The activity is only saved after you confirm it. If the idea does not fit after all, you do not have to keep it.
What you can share
Not every source provides the same amount of information, so drafts vary in how complete they are.

No social login and no silent account access
An import only starts when you deliberately share something to Swiva. Swiva does not scan your saved posts and does not need your social media login details.
What happens to the data during import
Shared URLs, text and images are initially kept as a pending import. According to Swiva's privacy information, this raw data is deleted automatically after 15 minutes if you do not confirm the import.
Shared text, descriptions and metadata may be sent to Google Gemini or Apple Intelligence to create structured drafts. If you do not want that for a particular idea, you can create it manually.
Where the import cannot work magic
The post is vague about the idea
If a video only flashes an idea briefly or barely explains it, the draft may miss exactly the details you need later.
Information changes
Opening hours, prices and availability can become outdated after import. Always check those details with the original source before you go.
The screenshot shows only part of the story
Text recognition can only work with what is legible in the image. It cannot reliably restore cropped names or missing context.
A few quick answers
Is every link supported?
Many well-known platforms and regular websites work as a starting point. Some pages provide very little public preview information or block access to it. In that case the draft will be shorter and you can fill in the rest.
Can I use Smart Import without AI?
Smart Import is the AI-assisted import feature. If you do not want AI processing for a particular idea, you can create the activity entirely by hand instead.
What if the result is wrong?
You correct or discard the draft. Pay particular attention to names, locations, prices and details that change quickly.
