Shared lists: collect ideas together without losing them in the chat
The group chat can keep the memes and debates. The ideas you actually want to find again get their own list.
What is a shared list?
A shared list is a private or public Swiva list where you invite other people as editors. Everyone with editing access can add activities and keep the shared selection up to date.
Shared and public are not the same thing. A list can be edited with selected people without being visible to everyone.
Build a shared collection in three steps
- Step 1
Create a list with a clear purpose
Vienna with the crew is more useful later than Our ideas. The name should make it clear what belongs there.
- Step 2
Share the invitation link
Only send the link to people who should be able to edit the list. They need a Swiva account to accept it.
- Step 3
Collect ideas instead of chat history
Everyone adds their own finds. When it is time to choose, open the list containing the real options.
Who can do what?

Share privately or publish
Editing access and visibility are two separate choices. A private list with specifically invited people is usually the right choice for date ideas, surprises or plans containing personal details.
A public list makes sense when you deliberately want other people to discover and save your selection. Public does not automatically mean strangers can edit it.
Keep the list from becoming a second group chat
Give each find a useful name
A bare link is not much help later. During import, make sure the idea will still make sense three weeks from now.
Not every reaction belongs in the list
The discussion can stay in the chat. Swiva only needs the suggestions that are real options.
Old ideas can leave
If nobody wants to do it anymore, deleting it makes the list better. Completeness is not the goal.

Do invited people need an account?
Yes. The invitation grants editing access, so it is accepted after signing in.
Can a private list be edited together?
Yes. You can invite selected people while keeping the list private.
Can every editor delete the list?
No. Only the owner can delete the entire list or remove editors. Invited people can leave the list.
